Restaurant photography
Photos that make people book a table
Your guests decide where to eat on their phone, often in a few seconds. I photograph restaurants in San Francisco and the Bay Area so your dishes, your room and your team look as good online as they do in person: on Google, Instagram, delivery apps, your website and in the press.
Services
What I photograph for restaurants
Menu and dishes
Hero shots and full-menu coverage for your website, printed menus, Google and delivery apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Interiors and ambiance
The room, the bar and the details that make guests want to be there.
Behind the scenes
The kitchen in action, plating and the craft behind every dish.
Short-form video
Reels and TikToks filmed on the same day, so one shoot feeds your social media for weeks.
Who I work with
Independent restaurants to restaurant groups
Fine dining, neighborhood spots, pizzerias, sushi bars, cafés and restaurant groups, whether you are opening a new place, launching a new menu or refreshing photos that no longer do your food justice. I have spent 10 years photographing food in Brazil, Amsterdam and now San Francisco, and I plan every shoot around what you need to sell: more reservations, more orders or more followers.

Client review
What restaurant owners say

Working with Rodrigo was amazing. … Each image captured not only the stunning detail and artistry of the food but also the essence of Elo’s brand. … This strong visual direction has had a tangible impact on Elo’s social media presence. The engaging, high-quality content has helped us reach a wider audience, drive more reservations, and strengthen the overall brand. It’s more than just photography, it’s storytelling that connects and converts.

Frequently asked questions
How much does restaurant photography cost in San Francisco?
Restaurant projects start at $1,200. The final price depends on how many dishes, spaces and people you need, and whether you want video too, and you get a fixed-price proposal before the shoot. Smaller shoots are available on request, and restaurants that need fresh content every month can work with me on an ongoing monthly partnership.
Can you shoot during service?
Yes. Most restaurant shoots happen before opening or in a quiet window, but I can also capture the energy of a full dining room. We plan the timing together so the shoot never gets in the way of your guests.
Do you also make videos and Reels?
Yes. I produce short-form video for Instagram and TikTok alongside the photos, so one shoot day can cover your website, menu and social media for weeks.
Which areas do you cover?
San Francisco and the whole Bay Area, from Oakland and Berkeley to Palo Alto, plus Napa and Sonoma.
